My big girl

Is loving Kindergarten, but not the homework so much.

Does not like to be introduced by her cousin as "This is my little cousin"

Likes to go to school early so she can eat breakfast w/ her cousin. Unless it's Friday, because new and exciting things happen on Club Penguin on Fridays and she'd rather skip breakfast to check it out.

Has a new "best friend" in her class, who is even more hyper and obnoxious then her.

Had her school ID number memorized before school even started and Grama still owes her 5 bucks for that one. It is a mystery like her phone number, on how she memorized it. Anytime I asked her to study it she didn't want to, so it sat in a folder on the table the whole time.

Starts school full day on Monday - they had only been going for 3 hours a day the first 2 weeks.

Loves her baby sister, unless she is crying too much, and is a big help when she wants to be.

Has Swimmers Ear and can't go swimming for 5 days, which really stinks!!!

My birthday

We had to go to hospital at 230am on Sunday, August 17, 2008 to be induced. By the time we actually got into a labor and delivery room it was closer to 4am.

They started w/ the gel. Every 2 hours I would get gelled up and wait an hour, then we'd walk around for a 1/2 hour or so, to be back in time for the next gel. Did that 3 times which is the max and it wasn't doing anything, so then they started pitocin around 10am and soon after I actually started getting some contractions. They let the moms come even though I still wasn't actually in labor. We all hung out and watched the Olympics, much to Mr. H's displeasure.

Around 2pm doc broke my water to help things along even more. Then I got the blessed epidural and we waited some more. Mr. H and the moms had fun talking about my contractions and how huge they were. Which was fine once I could no longer feel them, but not so much fun, when I could tell how huge they were.

I wanted the baby at 817 pm, but that came and went, so then I was trying for 857pm, but that also came and went. Finally I was just happy to have her anytime before midnight. I still wasn't dilated completely but they said the doc was going to come in and have me start pushing to see if that would help speed things up. I started pushing around 915pm and she was out by 928pm. That was the most awesome part of it all. Much better than the hour I had to push w/ Ry.

So, at 928pm I gave birth to my little giant, Ramsie Noelle. She weighed in at 9 lbs 15 oz and was 21 1/2 in. long. She really doesn't seem all that big to any of us, but we didn't see any other tiny babies either to compare her to.

She is beautiful and once we get this feeding thing down it will all be good.

4 1/2 hours to go

We are scheduled for induction at 2am. We are to call the hospital at 1am to make sure there is a bed available. I am hoping this will go much better and I'll be done by 10am at the latest.

Just me and Mr. H will be going at first and then once "active labor" begins the moms will join us for the rest.

I told Ry that hopefully by the time she wakes up her little sister will be here.

I will have my phone and will text a pic at a reasonable hour.

39 weeks

I had my weekly appointment today, still only dilated to a 1. Had my membranes stripped today, so I am now at about a 2 1/2 and 50% effaced. Hopefully this baby will come out on her own, otherwise I will be induced on Sunday the 17th, which is her due date.

1st day of kindergarten

Today was the 1st day of kindergarten. She was very excited but told me to "stop taking pictures Mommy!!!" Of course I didn't.

Her brother started high school today and I was able to get one of the both of them.

08/08/08

08/08/08 sure would be a great birthday. Do you hear that little girl? Come on, don't you want a cool birthdate like that? Lets get this show on the road then, shall we?!?!?!?!

Started out Wed. night w/ some light cramping that carried over into Thursday. Just feeling like crap and crampy on top of it. Hear from Diva that's how her labor started. I don't know these things as I have never gone into labor on my own, it was just forced onto me w/ Ry.

Thursday still feeling crappy and crampy and now Thursday night when I am finally relaxing (after working/supervising/watching my room get cleaned by my sister in law to make way for bassinet,) feeling some contractions. Don't go getting all excited yet, they were not consistent and didn't last, but it's a start and I still have hope that this baby could come tomorrow, if for no other reason than I want her too. Hey, I willed Ry to be a girl so I can will this baby to be born on 08/08/08 right?

Of course, Grama will miss it because she doesn't want to leave Utah until Sat. morning. Even though I begged and pleaded that she come Friday morning. :) Aw well, if I do get my way she will miss it either way so I guess it doesn't matter. Her loss. (love you Mommy) By the way, you could be here by 730 am for 192.50.........Just saying......

Blech...

My baby girl is sick. Fever and puking.

She is also very bored.

She can't wait to be a big sister and asks almost daily when her baby sister will be here.

School starts soon and that will be strange to have her gone all day, after the 2 week transition where the kindergartners only go to school for 3 hours. The school is having an open house on Thursday, so I may try to get off work early for that. Hopefully we will then know the teacher and find out for sure if she needs anything else other than a backpack. She already has her Hannah Montana back pack and originally that is all they said they would need. I hope she loves elementary school as much as she did pre school.
