36 weeks

Had my 1st non stress test last Friday because I'm old. I just go to the hospital check in and register for 30 minutes, then go get hooked up to 2 monitors, 1 to listen to heartbeat and 1 to check movement. That's 30 minutes of excitement right there. LOL. BORING. Plus, apparently I didn't eat enough because Baby girl was not cooperating, but she does not perform on demand. They finally got some movements out of her after buzzing her awake through my belly. Then off to get an ultrasound to check the amniotic fluid and make sure there is enough. Everything fine, so now I get to do it all over again, every Friday until I give birth. Yeah!!!

Had my regular check up today and the Physicians Assistant, says the doc has a note in the chart about possible induction at 39 weeks. I say Oh really? She told me we would just cross that bridge when we came to it, because she knows I DO NOT want to be induced. We again discussed as we do every single time this comes up that 1st baby inductions always bad but 2nd ones, much better. BLAH BLAH BLAH. I don't care what they say I am not buying it.

I go again on Monday for another ultrasound to check the size and weight again before my doc appt. so will know more then. I really don't see what the big deal is to induce me at 39 weeks which would be Aug. 10, which is a Sunday, don't see that happening, or August 11 which is no way happening as that is Ry's 1st day of school and I am not missing that NO WAY!!! I am due on the 16th, just let her be.

If she really wants to induce me, it can be on the 5th or the 8th, those are the only 2 dates that I am agreeable to. I'll let you know how that works out for me. LOL
So she checked my cervix, and there is nothing happening there, so this baby is not ready to come yet, she doesn't even have a confirmed name for Pete's sake!!!!!

Tink and very 1st non Grandma sleepover

My baby spent the night at a friends house last night. It was so strange not having her here. It's the first time sleeping at a friends house. After my doc appt today, I am meeting up w/ my friend for lunch and to get my baby.

We have her backpack all ready for school, that is all they said she needed. It is Hannah Montana. We went to Walmart last night after the movie to get her free 3D Glasses, for the concert/movie on July 26 on Disney Channel.

Finally, we have pics of the girls new Tinkerbell room. It was a lot of work for me and my Mom. I'll give Mr H some credit, but it was mostly us. LOL It's AWESOME, I love it, and I want to move in there. Please excuse all the clean laundry on her bed, but I am actually getting caught up on the laundry.

Beautiful Tink everywhere. Gorgeous purple walls! A big flying Tink on the ceiling and a super soft new Tink carpet. Oh, and the new leaf canopy that goes great w/ the room!!!

Baby update 33 weeks

So I went to the doc yesterday and she wants me to have another ultrasound in 4 weeks to check the size again. I was also going later in the day yesterday. The baby measures at 5 lbs. 10 oz. which apparently is about 1 pound bigger than normal at this stage. I am guessing there is no way she is going to not make me have baby girl early. She said we would cross that bridge when we came to it. :)

Everything else is great. Other than my aching back and not sleeping well, oh well it is all worth it.

Tha baby shower Steph and Mom threw for me was so much fun. Got a lot of great stuff and had a good time w/ friends and family.

The girls new Tink room is AWESOME!!! I want to move in there. I will post pics of it when it is complete. The painting is done, but we still have to move furniture back and some more decorations.

Got a great deal on a barely used expensive breastpump today from Craigslist. Had to buy all the new parts to go with it, but it is in such good shape and was only 75.00 for the pump, the parts another 40.00 or so, and it prices new at over 250.00.

Also, got a great play yard for baby girl to go in the toy room.

Today

today is the baby shower. My mommy and steph are here. It is wonderful. Mr h is going to finish priming the walls of the girls room today so we can get the purple and tink green done this week.

Tuesday I have another ultrasound to check the size of baby girl. Thursday I am getting a maternity massage. That will be nice.

Tooth Fairy

So the Tooth Fairy finally came last night. I told Ry she should wait for Friday as she gives better prizes on Fridays. It was because I had to wait for her tooth fairy bracelet to be made. Daddy picked it up on his way home Friday and we gave her the tooth pillow to put her tooth in.
When she got up this morning and came into my room she showed me what she got and was excited for a minute but then said it wasn't fair because her brother told her he always got money for his teeth. I said the tooth fairy has better stuff for girls and she shouldn't complain or maybe the tooth fairy wouldn't come next time. She has been wearing the bracelet all day, which is unusual for her, so she must like it. Also, she was really thrilled when I pointed out the fairy dust that the tooth fairy must have sprinkled on her while she slept.
Guess, next time the tooth fairy will have to leave a dollar in additon to the pearl charm maybe.....

Time Flies

I cannot believe how quick it is coming. I go to doc again on the 1st as well as to get an ultrasound to check the size of baby girl who has no name. Daddy is at some geeky Anime convention tonight and I told him he had to give me an hour of time to go through names and try and pick one. I have to let him think he has some say, even though anything he loves, I hate, so we will never go w/ something I hate. He on the other hand, will probably just get sick and tired of the whole thing and agree to whatever, just to not have to talk about it anymore.

This week we have to get Ry's ceiling patched up in some spots, and most of her furniture moved out, probably to toyroom, so we can start painting on Saturday. As of right now, we are going w/ purple walls and some kind of tink like green for trim and maybe ceiling too. Found the most awesome ceiling fan at Wal-Mart but it is 100.00 and so not in the budget. Of course, Uncle Phillip does like to spend money on overpriced things so maybe he could get one. We already have most of the other stuff for the room, wallpaper border, tink stickers and murals, fabric for Grama to make crib set and blankets for both girls. Just need some pixie dust for the walls and maybe some glow in the dark stars for the ceiling.

I need to get my room cleaned up as well so we can even fit the bassinet in there by my side of the bed. Wating for new car seat and stroller to be delivered to Wal-Mart and matching diaper bag. I love them and can't wait.

Then on Sunday we have the girls only baby shower, sorry P Dukey, but don't worry you can still shower us w/ gifts like you do anyway, you don't need an actual baby shower for that.

Think I'm going to cry....

My baby has her first loose tooth. It can't come out yet, it has to wait for her tooth fairy bracelet to get here.

EDIT
Update -
ended up pulling the tooth. It was quite the production, from fingers, to pliers, to string tied to the door, then back to pliers, back to fingers to finally only wanting Mommys help and tying the string to the door and she slammed it herself (after about 5 minutes of just standing there not daring to slam the door) She must be my daughter as my Mom had to pull all my baby teeth while I slept because I wouldn't let her do it while I was awake.

Here we have pictures of the big production......

1st attempt with the string

Then the pliers..

The string on the door again, and "are you sure it isn't going to hurt Mommy?"
ALL DONE!!!!

69 dude...

Only 69 more days to go. I can't even believe it is coming that quickly. When I think of it as 2 months, it still seems like awhile left to go, but thinking only 69 days just sounds so much sooner.

I just signed up to tour the hospital and signed Ry up for a Sibling Adjustment class.
Sibling Adjustment Class The class is for children ages 3-10. It covers adjusting to a new baby in the family, interacting with the baby, feelings, holding the baby and a trip to the nursery. An adult must attend and the children receive a t-shirt that is included in the cost of the class. Mom must be delivering at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.

I know I am very insistent that I do not want to be induced, but on the other hand, I do not want to end up having a c-section because baby girl is huge. Such a dilemma! I am already so huge and still have 2 months to go. Check out the fuzzy cell phone pic taken by Ry today.....

Summertime

Ry decided she wanted to take a break for the summer and not do karate or cheer. I was bummed, but we aren't going to force her to do anything.

Her summer program is at her old pre-school, it is only for the month of June, and it is from 9am - noon. She is having so much fun. They all help make the snack every day, and get some type of toy prize every day.

We have been swimming almost every day. When I say we, I mean she goes in pool, and I might dip my feet in while I watch her.

She loves the new puppy and likes to have Zoey with her when she watches TV in our room.

Summertime

Pre school is done for my baby and she'll be off to kindergarten before I know it. She is going to a summer program at the church for a few hours a day during the month of June.

Her last Karate class was Friday and she got her yellow belt. She keeps going back and forth on sticking w/ karate or doing cheerleading over the summer. We would like her too stick w/ karate, but I think Cheer would be pretty cute.

She went swimming today in the cold. Cold pool and cold weather. She's a NUT. She loved it of course.

28 weeks

I am at 28 weeks now. I do not have gestational diabetes. Of course I am FAT and she doesn't want me gaining much more weight. To that I say whatever! Fat people have babies all the time. I am not going to stress over it.

Still no decision on the name for baby girl yet.

Got alot of Tinkerbell stuff for the girls room when Grama was here for Mothers Day. Will probably get painted and all set up in July.

Here's a baby belly pic....taken on May 9

What she thinks of Mom

We had the Mothers Day party at school last Friday and it was wonderful. We did a nice potluck lunch and made crafts w/ our kids and got some great handmade gifts. Click on the pic below to see what Ry has to say about me.

3D/4D ultrasound

This was too cool, even though the baby was not cooperating at all and wouldn't give us very many good shots. Even after seeing these awesome pics Grama doesn't think that it is any different than an ultrasound. There is one in here that is just the bottom of her face that totally looks like Ry's chin and smile, and she says it looks like an ultrasound. Crazy lady that one. Love you Mommy!

(This one up above is the one that totall has Ry's chin and smile)

23 weeks

Had my monthly appointment on Monday. Everything fine, Ry was with me so she got to hear the heartbeat too. Have to take the 3 hour glucose test again in May. Blech. Feeling her move around a lot more now and I'm loving it.

Still working on names - sort of. I have my list, and he is not adding anything to it.

We'll probably paint the girls room in May when Grama is in town. We are going to try and find some girly material that will work for both girls to make them matching blankets and stuff.

Tucson Karate Tournament and 5 year check up

1st place for fastest kick!!!! Got a big trophy and she was very excited, but also disappointed that she didn't get a trophy for every event. So silly.

On Monday morning she went to my Dr. appointment and she thinks it is too funny that I have to pee in a cup. Well, that afternoon was her 5 year check up and she had to pee in a cup too. Her doc was asking how she is doing and I told him all she is learning in preschool, can count to 100, writes her name, can read simple books, knows her ABC's in sign language, etc... He asked how her speech was, because of course, she is shy and just sits there. I tell her she speaks really well, and carries on full conversations. I asked her to show the Dr how well she speaks and she said "blah, blah blah, blah blah" He just laughed and said oh great she has a sense of humor too.

Then came the trauma! Other than when she was a baby, she has never had a problem with shots, and has even been excited to go get shots. She watches and everything. I don't know what happened this time, all I can think is she didn't like the nurse that came in to give all the shots. She freaked out. She had to start w/ a finger prick for Anemia test, and she was not going for it. I had to try and hold her down and she was screaming bloody murder. The nice nurse then came in when she heard all the screaming and she held her while I stood behind her and cried myself for my poor baby. It just got worse and she screamed so loud the entire time. She had to get that finger stick, 4 shots and TB test. The poor nurses ears are probably still ringing, since she was screaming right into her ear. She cried off and on the whole way home and then was fine once we got home. Her Grandma had to take her back in yesterday to check her arm from the TB test and everything fine w/ that. Lucky for all of us, other than the flu shot we all get every year she doesn't need anymore shots until she's 9 or 10.

Tomorrow both Mr H and I took off to go on a field trip w/ her. That will be fun.

Tuesday we go register my baby for kindergarten. I am now glad of the spacing of my kids. I'll be off her 1st 3 months of kindergarten to take her and pick her up everyday and it will just be me and the new baby all day while she is at school. I still can't believe she is starting kindergarten though.

That's about it for now. I am off today too, so I think when I pick her up we have to go to Burger King for lunch as they have Ironman toys. My little superhero freak!!!!
