3D/4D ultrasound

This was too cool, even though the baby was not cooperating at all and wouldn't give us very many good shots. Even after seeing these awesome pics Grama doesn't think that it is any different than an ultrasound. There is one in here that is just the bottom of her face that totally looks like Ry's chin and smile, and she says it looks like an ultrasound. Crazy lady that one. Love you Mommy!

(This one up above is the one that totall has Ry's chin and smile)

23 weeks

Had my monthly appointment on Monday. Everything fine, Ry was with me so she got to hear the heartbeat too. Have to take the 3 hour glucose test again in May. Blech. Feeling her move around a lot more now and I'm loving it.

Still working on names - sort of. I have my list, and he is not adding anything to it.

We'll probably paint the girls room in May when Grama is in town. We are going to try and find some girly material that will work for both girls to make them matching blankets and stuff.

Tucson Karate Tournament and 5 year check up

1st place for fastest kick!!!! Got a big trophy and she was very excited, but also disappointed that she didn't get a trophy for every event. So silly.

On Monday morning she went to my Dr. appointment and she thinks it is too funny that I have to pee in a cup. Well, that afternoon was her 5 year check up and she had to pee in a cup too. Her doc was asking how she is doing and I told him all she is learning in preschool, can count to 100, writes her name, can read simple books, knows her ABC's in sign language, etc... He asked how her speech was, because of course, she is shy and just sits there. I tell her she speaks really well, and carries on full conversations. I asked her to show the Dr how well she speaks and she said "blah, blah blah, blah blah" He just laughed and said oh great she has a sense of humor too.

Then came the trauma! Other than when she was a baby, she has never had a problem with shots, and has even been excited to go get shots. She watches and everything. I don't know what happened this time, all I can think is she didn't like the nurse that came in to give all the shots. She freaked out. She had to start w/ a finger prick for Anemia test, and she was not going for it. I had to try and hold her down and she was screaming bloody murder. The nice nurse then came in when she heard all the screaming and she held her while I stood behind her and cried myself for my poor baby. It just got worse and she screamed so loud the entire time. She had to get that finger stick, 4 shots and TB test. The poor nurses ears are probably still ringing, since she was screaming right into her ear. She cried off and on the whole way home and then was fine once we got home. Her Grandma had to take her back in yesterday to check her arm from the TB test and everything fine w/ that. Lucky for all of us, other than the flu shot we all get every year she doesn't need anymore shots until she's 9 or 10.

Tomorrow both Mr H and I took off to go on a field trip w/ her. That will be fun.

Tuesday we go register my baby for kindergarten. I am now glad of the spacing of my kids. I'll be off her 1st 3 months of kindergarten to take her and pick her up everyday and it will just be me and the new baby all day while she is at school. I still can't believe she is starting kindergarten though.

That's about it for now. I am off today too, so I think when I pick her up we have to go to Burger King for lunch as they have Ironman toys. My little superhero freak!!!!

Girly Girlz!!!!!

Since she is suddenly in a girly phase, today I took her to Girly Girlz in case she reverts back to no girly stuff phase. It was a fun, cute time. She decided on the Diva Rockstar look.

Mom's a slacker...

I didn't ever update on the Karate Tournament that Ry was in on March 2. Here she is getting ready.

It was pretty cute to see all these little kids. I know the pictures is blurry, but it was cute to see the kids all file into the gym like this....

She participated in the strongest punch and strongest kick as well as fastest fist and fastest kick. She got 3rd place in fastest kick. It was very exciting. Here she is so very thrilled after she got her trophy.

Finally, here she is with all her medals and trophy.

She had a blast and we may even go to the next tournament in Tucson in April.

Big sister loves the baby

We took this today while getting big sisters birthday pics.

Everything is going great. Tired all the time, but that is nothing new. We go March 24 to see what the baby is. Hopefully it will cooperate and we can tell w/o a doubt what it is so I can get the room done.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

My baby is 5!!!! I can't hardly believe it. Here are the birthday pics we had done.

We have had a wonderful birthday week. Ry even said it was the best birthday ever, even better than Disneyland. I think she's a little crazy for thinking that, but I am just happy she is having so much fun.

Monday we went to Jump N Play

Tuesday we went to Ikea so she could play in the playground - her choice.

Wednesday we got haircut, took pictures, and played at mall playground, which she chose over rollerskating. Her Grandma Linda came over with her cousin and Uncle Phillip came over to open presents and then we all went to birthday dinner at TGI Fridays.

Thursday we are going to play mini golf in an indoor place when Daddy and brother get home.

Friday we haven't decided yet, but we may go to a movie.

Check this out

First, check out this cool pic Steph made out of my last Ultrasound pic...

Second, I got the results back from my Ultrascreen already. The genetic counselor said everything looks very good, very normal, very low risk and that I have as good a chance as a 20 year old at having a healthy baby. Woo hoo - my old eggs are still wonderful!!!

12 weeks 1 day

We had the Ultrascreen today. I had already sent in the blood, but the doc wasn't in today that can read the nuchal translucency part so I won't be able to get results until tomorrow afternoon.

Got some new pics of the baby.....

A head on view that closely resembles an Alien and another side profile view.

Poor little thing....

When her brother goes to the neighbors behind us to play and jump on the trampoline, she justs hangs out on her Jungle Gym and watches them.

Tonight

We told the kids about the baby tonight. I showed Ry the ultrasound pic and told her it was her new baby brother or sister. "SISTER!" she said. I said we don't know yet, it's just her baby brother OR sister. "SISTER!" she shouted again. I explained again that we didn't know and it was up to God if we got a brother or sister. Later on at bedtime she told me she has talked to God 3 times already tonight asking for a sister.

She is too funny, last time we talked about having a baby she wanted a brother, and I am sure she will change her mind many more times before this baby comes.

Baby Update

Everything is measuring on schedule and looks wonderful! Got to see the little bean flopping around and the most wonderful heartbeat. We will probably tell the kids tonight when Mr. H gets home from work.

I am thrilled, but will still most likely be a nervous wreck until I give birth to this wonderful baby!

Still Nervous

Another doc appt tomorrow morning. Hoping everything is still fine. I sent my blood in the other day for the Ultrascreen. The paperwork said I could get results that day if blood was sent in ahead of time, so I did.

That's about all, I corrected my ticker to match the date they keep telling me, which is August 16. I want it to be a week later on my Moms birthday, but I guess it isn't all about what I want in this case.

Karate

Ry started Karate this last Friday - here she is in her Gi. She loved it and the Sensai held her attention the whole time, he's good.

Nervous

I am going to the doc again in about an hour. I am so scared and nervous that there won't be a heartbeat this week. I know rationally I am probably just being paranoid, but I am nervous anyway.

Mr. H is taking a long lunch to go with me. His new boss is pretty cool like that. He has explained to him about the last time and his boss is being very understanding and cool. Big change from his last dick weed employer that fired him. Stupid California Overnight - you suck - don't ever ship a package w/ them! LOL!

Never got a call about the 3 hour glucose test, so I am assuming everything was ok, or she's just waiting to tell me in person.

I will update after the appt.

********UPDATE**********
OK, so everything went fine at the doc. Still a heartbeat. My 3 hour glucose was fine, so I'll just have to repeat the 3 hour test at 26 weeks, which is when it is usually done anyway.

I have my appt for the Ultrascreen, which is a 1st trimester screen for Downs Syndrome. It is non invasive, a blood test that I'll stick myself at home and then an ultrasound.

I talked to the doc about waiting until 12 weeks to tell the kids and others, she said at 8 weeks w/ a heartbeat the chances of miscarriage go down to about 5%, so she'd consider it safe now to tell, but I go again in 2 weeks, so we'll wait until then.

It is measuring at about 9 weeks, and my calculations are at 8 weeks 2 days according to my ticker. I went with the due date on the ticker to be my Mommy's birthday though and the birth date the doc is giving is 6 days earlier.

We will most likely find out the sex when the time comes. I am still reluctant as I would love to be surprised again, but since it is sharing a room w/ Ry no matter what, it will make it easier to get her room ready.

Oh, and I lost a pound, and it certainly wasn't for lack of eating.

BLECH...

Just got the call that I have to go in Monday for the 3 hour glucose testing. Gross! My original test was at 136 which from what I have gathered online is ok. Over 140 it says should do the 3 hour test, but I am a fat ass and don't want anything to go wrong this time, so I'll gladly do it. Ok, maybe not gladly, that stuff is nasty and makes me want to vomit, but I'll do it.

All my other bloodwork was fine - whatever it all was for.

1st pic

Here is the first ultrasound pic from Thurdays appointment. Measuring at 6 weeks 1 day. Saw the wonderful flicker of the heartbeat. I go back in 2 weeks and again 2 weeks after that. So far so good.

Christmas

Christmas was great. Ry got pretty much everything she wanted and then some. She says her favorite is the moon sand, although she still doesn't have the inflatable sandbox. So glad the 3.99 tub of Moon Sand was her favorite. :)

She still has a bunch left that has been put up for her birthday.

Big Sister

Today Ry was asking when were going to have another baby... I just told her someday. We aren't telling the kids yet, or many people for that matter.

We did work on clearing out her toy room a little more and putting stuff away for a baby in the future. She really wants to be a big sister and help the baby with stuff, and play, and read books. She can be such a sweet girl at times.

So, I am nauseous all the time these last few days, but haven't actually yacked yet. Heartburn all the time. Good times, but I know it is all worth it, and as long as I am sick there is a baby in there.

sniffly

I really just want to chop my head off right now. I am so stuffy and miserable. I am leaving work in about an hour after a meeting and I am not coming in tomorrow at all. I may, (GASP) have to work a whole day on Friday so I must rest up for the occasion. LOL!

I am tired and can't wait to see my bed.

It's official

Here are the results from the 3rd test that I took this morning. I called the doc and set up 1st appointment for Dec. 27. She is seeing me sooner because of the miscarriage in June.

According to due date calculators online, the baby is due August 16, 2008, however I am on 5 week cycle so another website says August 23, 2008, which I like better as that is my Mommys birthday.

Although I said I wasn't telling anyone if I did get pregnant again, I am keeping it to those closest to me. Plus, 2 out of 3 that read this already know anyway. We won't tell the kids until later on.

Just hoping and praying all goes well this time around.

It's only a little pink

Well, I was hoping I was pregnant, but figured it was just wishful thinking, but I took a test today and although the 2nd line only a little pink, it is positive. I will get another and retest in the morning to make sure.

We are excited and scared. Hopefully everything will be fine w/ this one. After I test again I will call my doc as she will see me much sooner than the normal 10 weeks because of the miscarriage.

Will keep this updated.

Pics from the fieldtrip

The fieldtrip was AWESOME!!! They took the kids up in the ladder bucket. Here's some pics! Halloween tomorrow - yippee. Will post pics of that later.

1st Fieldtrip

Tomorrow is Ry's first fieldtrip. They are going to the nearby fire station to check out the hot firemen. Oh! Sorry, that will be me. They will be learning important fire safety stuff I am sure.

Then on Saturday is her schools Good Neighbor Fair or whatever it is called. Not a Halloween party of course, it's a Christian church. There are fireworks and games and stuff though.

Sunday we may drive up to Sedona to see Grama Jan who will be there w/ her husband and his parents. If not, we will see Grama anyway when she comes down for Halloween. Then we'll see Grama again for a whole week around Thanksgiving.

It was school picture day today, so I will post those when we get them back.

Power Rangers

Today we went to see the Power Rangers. They are on tour right now. LOL. It was in a Wal-Mart parking lot and totally free so it was awesome for this broke family.

They had one of those money blowing games where the kids try to grab as much money as they can. The kids both won in thier age group so they each got a Power Ranger toy, so Ry actually got 2, because her brother is so nice.

She got to meet the Red Ranger and the Black Ranger and she had lots of fun.

I said it wouldn't happen, but.....

I am actually taking my sweet daughter to Utah. My mom is retiring and my Grandma on my Dads side is also in town at the same time. It works out well. I am excited and happy to see my Grandma and have Rylee meet her. Not so much about going to my moms. Oh, I'm happy she is retiring of course, more time for her to be here. I am just not excited to go to her house. I tried to get out of it, I tried to get us to stay at hotel, but she wasn't going for it. I am hoping it will all be ok, as long as those people stay away liek they are supposed to. Ry will get to ride on the quads and a horse so she is thrilled.
