WOO HOO!
We're going to Disneyland again for Ry's birthday. My travel agent special is way to good of a deal to pass up when it comes around. Luckily Grama agrees, so she pays for it and we all have a great time. We should have our income tax return by then, so like last time we can not worry about money while there.
I'm so excited. We'll be in Disneyland on her birthday, so I have to check into this....

3 year old soccer
Ry had her first game on January 6, it was actually 2 back to back games. 3 year old soccer is hilarious! Her 1st goal scored, me and some other parents were behind the goal to direct our team to the right goal, and when we all cheered for her after the goal she froze and didn't move until I told her it was ok to go ahead and keep playing. Her 2nd goal I missed somehow, but Daddy says another girl on her team was hanging onto her and she just drug her along w/ her to score the goal. I have no idea what the final scores were for either game, they don't really keep track. I know our team got creamed in the first game though.
Here are some pics!

Thank you Santa!
Christmas was great! I have my Grama Jan here for 10 whole days. I got everything I wanted from Santa. My Grandma Linda, Aunt and cousin were here to open presents. Uncle Phillip was late, but that's normal, he got to be here for most of the opening of presents.
I am sure my Mom will post pictures soon.

Another funny
Today was picture day for Ry at pre-school. No snacks needed today, as they would be having something. So here is a conversation about today....
Mommy: So, Rylee what did you have for snack today?
Rylee: Fish and bread
Mommy: Fish and bread?
Rylee: Yes, Mommy, fish and bread, you know like Jesus.
Mommy: Oh yes, like Jesus, and who is Jesus Rylee?
Rylee: I don't know.
It doesn't sound as funny in print, but I thought it was rather amusing. Yes, Phillip I am talking about Jesus, that guy you don't believe in, not some random mexican. She goes to a Christian pre school , not some pre school in the projects that you grew up in.
Anyway, here is a crappy cell phone pic of my girl for picture day, and I might add she was the best dressed one there!

Kids
Tonight before bed, Taylor and Rylee kept playing and being crazy and we had already told them several times it was quiet time, since it was almost bed time.
The last time David told them if they didn't settle down there would be spanks on the butt and maybe he would ground them. Rylee burst into tears and ran around sobbing. We didn't know why being grounded would upset her so much as she doesn't even know what it means.
I stopped her and asked why she was so upset, and she said "Daddy said he was going to drown me." After I stopped laughing I told her no he was going to ground her and explained that would mean she wouldn't be able to play w/ her toys or have any fun while she was grounded. SHe was fine with that.
Good night!

It's getting chilly
Saturday - we went to the zoo. We played w/ some new friends for Rylee. We rented one of the big bikes and rode around for a bit. It was chilly out but we dressed warm and had fun.
Sunday - Grandma was wonderful and came to watch Rylee for the day so we could go up to Payson for Uncle Todd and Aunt Stephi.
Monday - we had Connor too and Grandma met us at Burge King so the kids could eat and play. Once Connor gets picked up we will head to Sam's Club or Costco for some shopping.
Picture day is coming up in pre school. I was able to get Halloween day off to go to her Teddy Bear picnic. WIll share pics when I have them.

Update
We did finally make it to the free class at The Little Gym. She had so much fun. We then went to a dance studio that is affordable, where The Little Gym is not right now. Got the schedule for classes. Later that night I asked her if she wanted to take Dance lessons or play soccer, and she wants to play soccer. It is too late to sign up for fall season, so we'll sign up for the winter.
She loves school still. She is bringing home some artwork every week. I will start a scrapbook just for her pre-school days that will include all the artwork. So far all the artwork except for one is just the right size for a scrapbook.
She has picture day this month and show and tell the same day. For Halloween, as it is a Christian pre-school, there isn't a Halloween celebration, but they are having a Teddy Bear picnic. The kids bring their Teddy Bears to class and they will make the snack that day in class and have the picnic outside w/ the bears. I am going to try to get that day off and go with her.
Then of course we are up to Halloween where she will be Mystic Force Blue Ranger.
We went to put some stuff for Christmas on layaway at Wal-Mart last weekend. Of course we had Ry w/ us, so I had to lie to her and tell her all the stuff was for her friend Emmaly.
That's about it for now.

School
I can't believe there is only 1 month to go before my baby goes to pre-school!
She is so excited. We had to go last week and make the first payment, and she was mad that she wasn't staying. We made a paper chain to count down the days til school starts, and she likes that.
Grama Jan has sent a box of clothes for back to school. :) Of course, then the director told me not to send her in clothes I may not want ruined as they paint alot. At least on the first day she can be stylin' !
We have her friend Emmaly's birthday party tomorrow, but nothing else planned this weekend.
1 more week of summer and then school starts for the older kids, so I get my Mondays w/ Rylee back. I am excited for that. I will still have to get Connor to school Monday mornings, but then it is just her and I until we have to pick up Connor in the afternoon.
That's about it for now!

Summertime fun
We are going swimming almost everyday, she is doing great w/ her swimming and diving. We, being myself, Mom and Taylor taught her how to dive into the pool. Sometimes the dives turn into front flips, but she likes those too.
Of course, guess who gets the credit for teaching her how to do this? Yup, TODD, the great teacher of all! She is a goof!
Yesterday we went to the zoo for Winter in July where they bring in tons of snow for kids and animals to play with. Darn good thing we have a membership and the summer was free, because I can't imagine paying to go in this heat. It was so hot. We got there a little after 8am and played in the snow, which was lots of fun. Then we decided to go check out the animals that were getting snow delivered. That lasted 3 animals I think and we all decided it was way too hot and we should just go home and go swimming. We stopped back for a bit so the kids could play in the snow again and then left. I think we were there for a whole 2 hours.
Tomorrow she has her 3 year check up a little late. I am sure there will be swimming tomorrow, but not much more.

Bubble baths and bedtime stories....
Grama Jan must give Rylee a bubble bath and read to her every night. It was something she started a few trips ago and Rylee now expects it every night.
Nothing much else to report. We are just enjoying our visit from Grama.

Summer
Nothing much to post. Summer is here and Ry is loving the pool. She holds her breath now. She doesn't like to wear her floaties or swim vest. She does good though. She mostly sticks to the shallow end. We are always right there anyway. ("WE" being either parent or one of the "Aunts" or "Uncles")
Today she was getting real brave and trying to jump in the deep end w/o any warning. At least that got her vest on, because I told her she could only jump in the deep end by herself w/ a vest, and she put that thing on fast.
In the shallow end she will jump w/o vest and stay underwater to 'swim' back to the steps. I guess Todd taught her how to do that. :)
Here she is in her new Tink suit.

Camping filth
As told on Diva's blog "It was almost 11:00 PM when we finally started pitching tents. It was a riot when we woke up the next day and realized we were in like the only area around us that was completely burned out area around. So the Ryster had a great time in a big pile of ashes! As soon as I get pictures developed you all will see the dirtiest little faces around!"

Fun with Grama Jan and Mommy
Here I am helping Mommy w/ her pedicure. We did this Thursday before heading to Sedona w/ Grama.
Thursday - We got to Sedona and checked into our hotel. What a huge room. Mommy had to leave for a bit and go on a tour of the hotel. She has to do that so we can stay in such fancy hotels for free. When Mommy got back we went to town and did some shopping at Walgreens and got KFC for dinner. After dinner Grama gave me a bubble bath in the huge tub. Then we all got our jammies on and rented the Curious George movie. I liked the movie, until Grama gave me some cookies, then I was all over the place jumping on the bed. It was fun.
Friday - We went for a walk to this big teepee at the hotel. Grama took some pictures of us. Then we went to town to do some shopping. Mommy wanted to go to this store to make us yummy smelling bath stuff and Daddy some shaving cream, but they weren't there anymore. We just drove around some more and had lunch. We went swimming for awhile once we got back to the hotel. Dinner in town again as I was too crabby for Mommy to want to take me to a nice restaurant. We rented 8 Below and watched the puppies play.
Saturday we got up took a bath w/ Mommy and then we packed up to leave. We stopped for lunch and then I got to go fishing. I caught 3 big fish w/ a little help from Mommy and Grama. We then headed home to see Daddy and my big brother.
Sunday, Mothers Day - Daddy took such good care of Mommy today. He went shopping and grilled some yummy steaks for all of us. Grandma Linda came over and Aunt Ginger was already here w/ Connor to surprise her.
Monday - Grama and Mommy finally took me for a haircut that we had been talking about for days. Mommy said she was so proud of me and that I was so good while getting my haircut. We then ran to Target to get Grama a MP3 player and Sams Club for some quick shopping before we had to take my Grama to the airport.
It was a very fun time w/ my Grama and Mommy this weekend.

Video games
It is funny what kids pick up on.
We have been playing Dead or Alive 3 and 4 on the new xBox 360. I know that Ry hasn't actively watched us play, she is either doing her own thing or back and forth from the back yard playing.
Today she said "Get ready, (long pause) FIGHT! and then starts to hit.
The joy of children!
